Daily Objective
I forgot to bring in my camera which has some new footage on it so instead I will try to work out this problem with my music on final cut.

Planning
I did an interview with one of my friend's parents who are deeply involved with our snowboard team but these interviews aren't finished so i have more to do with them. and with this 4 day weekend coming up i plan to get a lot done, hopefully the bulk of my interviews and a lot of snowboarding. i would like to borrow a tripod from the school since i don't have one and use it this weekend and next to get some really cool shots in plus it will make interviews easier. not to be overly-optimistic, but i could probably get all my filming done by the end of that 4 day weekend. actually i think my filming deadline is not too far away from then, anyway.

Daily Objective
I've downloaded all the footage that i have right now. This weekend, I'm going to be spending a lot of time around my coaches and one of my teammates parents, all of whom i'll be interviewing so im gonna make sure i have all the interview questions that i might need for these people.

Daily Objective
ive got some more snowboarding footage to import so i'll be doing that. and i plan to complete all interviews within the next week or two. i got the music to work so that's done, so basically i just need to get the interviews, as much snowboarding footage as possible, import it all and start editing.

Daily Objective
so...i have no cds at home at the moment so i can't burn/rip them right now plus im broke but there's a potentially better idea. I could load them on to my flash drive (currently at home) from my home computer and then bring it in here and see if that works, cuz if it does, that would make my life so much easier, and would prevent further debt to my parents. so i'll give that a try, and see if i can convert the files. if i can there will be no more problems to deal with and i can actually start doing what i was supposed to be doing for the last 5 months.

Daily Objective
So the camera works! The footage looks a little weird, like pixelated or something, like it belongs on a larger screen, but its not bad. I'm wondering if it will look really good on an actual tv becuase of the hd or if not then if i should just change the camera settings to shoot in SD. I want to borrow a cord to connect the camera straight into the tv to see for sure. Also I'm starting to think about the music i want in this movie, and so I will need to start burning cds with the potential music on it, which i can do either here or at home, but i have no cds at home at the moment so...

Daily Objective
I didn't talk to the video guy last week because i hurt myself snowboarding and kinda had problems walking until a day or 2 ago and i don't think he's open on weekends. so thats on my to-do list for this week, whatever day im not working after school. in the meantime i'd like to use one of the school cameras that doesn't have importing problems to do the interviews i haven't done yet and maybe make a different, shorter, less serious video to ensure that i at least pass this class and get a project done.

Daily Objective
I tried to use that digital annalog box that you already had and couldn't get it to work. what happened is that the computer didn't recognize the camera. it recognized the capture device because it was ready to import pretty much but it wasn't recognizing the camera. I tried to import using this method using both imovie and final cut express. neither worked. im going to see the guy at the two rivers video place (jeremy) to see what he recomends and how he did it. hopefully i can talk to alec this week too (now that he's back) and maybe figure it out that way.

Daily Objective
So i ripped some snowboarding footage from previous videos, though its not very good quality footage. we already discussed this, but i just really need either that digital converter (that compensates for my camera not having a firewire outlet) or a meeting with alec to find out how to do this. And Greg's converter was like $30 but the one i need is a lot more expensive i think, i need to make a run by wal-mart or target to see if they have one or can give me a price estimate at least. if i can't get either one of these two things done in like 2 weeks tops, then i resort to using a school camera, which i will be taking up to the mountain with me on numerous occasions. So we'll see what happens.
